Professor Niall Griffiths Inaugural Lecture at Wolverhampton University

Niall will deliver his inaugural lecture, "Paradise is on the end of your nose: voices from the outer dark in contemporary British writing."

From the University events page:
"‌On Monday 8 December, Professor Niall Griffiths delivers his inaugural lecture describing his motivation and inspiration for writing.
...
"His talk will discuss the significance of finding a writing voice for peoples and places that had no representation at all in literature and popular culture, based upon his own experience growing up on a housing estate. He will discuss those writers who have inspired him with their ability to write from the margins and those who taught him he was not just allowed, but even 'bound by duty, to write in a voice that I lived with'.
‌"Niall’s talk will be followed by a drinks reception and the launch of the paperback edition of his most recent novel, A Great Big Shining Star.
"Date: Monday 8 December, 6.30pm.
"Venue: Tilstone Studio, Arena Theatre."
